Your data

Privacy policy

French Riviera Life collects very little data. Here is what, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Who is responsible?

The website https://frenchrivieralife.com/ is published by Enzo Assous, the data controller. Contact: frenchrivieralife.contact@gmail.com. See also the legal notice.

What the site does not collect

The site has no user accounts, no comments and no forms. It sets no advertising cookies.

Audience measurement (Google Analytics)

If you accept, the site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to find out how many people visit it and which pages are read. Nothing is loaded or set before you agree: a banner asks for your choice on your first visit, and “Decline” is as easy as “Accept”.

Once you agree, Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_VRZPYB6Y5Y) lasting 13 months and collects browsing data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate country and city, and where the visit came from. These statistics are used only to improve the site. They are kept for 14 months at most and may be processed by Google in the United States.

Your choice is remembered for 6 months. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page: declining deletes any measurement cookies already set.

When you write to me

If you send me an email, your address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you. They are kept as long as needed to follow up on your request, then deleted. They are never sold or passed on to third parties.

Connection logs

Like any host, O2Switch records technical logs (IP address, date, pages requested) to keep the server secure and working. They are kept for the period required by law.

Interactive maps and third-party services

The maps on some pages load the Leaflet library from unpkg.com and map tiles provided by Esri (ArcGIS). Your browser then contacts these services, which receive your IP address, as with any website you visit.

Links to social networks (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and to booking partners take you to third-party sites. They may set their own cookies, according to their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. To exercise them, write to frenchrivieralife.contact@gmail.com.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Changes

This policy may change, for example if the site adds a new tool. The date of the last update is shown at the bottom of this page.
